My preferred painting style is a technique of artificially aging wood to create effects seen with the passing of time. By combining the use of traditional techniques together with the same natural ingredients still available today, I apply processes that provide an authentic aged look & feel. Egg tempera, casein, albumin, rabbit skin glues, organic pigments & beeswax. Stains mixed with water and applied using a naked flame give an incredibly authentic feel. These ingredients & methods are applied in stages and in successive layers making each finish unique as though history has created each imperfection.
