A beautiful wooden actor's vanity & wig box with leather carry handle, metal locking clasp and original key. Inside there are two removable pale blue metal trays for various make-up items and in the back of the lid there is a mirror making this the perfect travelling vanity box. On the bottom are 4 small rubber feet and the base has been covered in a pale green felt. This is likely to have been tailor made for someone & used sometime during the 50s & 60s. Question is who??
A wonderful collector's item for anyone interested in the arts but is also still a very useful & practical box that could be used for make-up artists, actors and maybe even an artist's box for keeping paints & brushes.
