A stunning pair of hand painted Union Jack trunks with metals claps and leather detailing.
Each trunk is lined with a plush deep blue material with no rips or tears and leather hinged strap to keep the lid from over-opening.
The leather edging and corner details pinned down with metal rivets give these vintage trunks a high quality finish not usually seen with storage trunks which suggests these were originally made for a stylish customer and possibly for travelling with.
The trunks have been painted on 5 of the 6 sides with the flag of the Union. Only the underneath is left unpainted (see photo). There are small round feet on each corner to keep the base slightly off the floor for protection.
As seen in the photos, the trunks are both in excellent condition but the colouring is slightly dirtier than they would have originally been made.
Each trunk measures 51cm x 51cm x 51cm
The last photo shows a Vinyl LP to demonstrate the scale of the trunks. I'll even through that in if you want!
These items are vintage and feature markings and scuffs commensurate of their age. I have done as best as I can to show photos all the way around but do please ask for more photos if you are unsure before purchase.
